A very enjoyable first time stay at a Premier Inn, everything was as expected, including the highly rated bed/mattress. Extremely comfortable. Perfect central location, easy access to Barnsley's transport hub, shops, restaurants and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout ur stay. The hotel is ready for a little redecorating and hopefully it will get one soon, but this didn't spoil our stay whatsoever. Would recommend and will definitely book again.

Hotel is a great location, a 2 min walk from pubs, restaurants & shops. Really cheap car park next door (￡5 for 24 hours). The staff were great and very welcoming. We pre paid a hot breakfast and we was warned that it gets busy around 9am so get there early if possible. We couldnt make breakfast until 9am, and there was a queue. I wouldn't say it was busy, just really badly organized with not enough staff. Its not a buffet breakfast, its brought to you, the girl who was ticking off quests from the list was also taking them to be seated and also taking the breakfast order, quite time consuming - alot of pissed off people in 20 minute wait to be ushered in. Also tables were full of plates, cups and general mess that hadn't been cleared away, really unsightly. The self service area for drinks and continental was messy , missing glasses and plates and in need a good clean up. Also the decor and furnishing were in need of replacing. To be fair the breakfast was tasty. There was a big chuck of padding missing from a chair. Reading the reviews on here its been like that for a while. We would come again because of the location and price but its in desperate need and sprucing up and more staff needed to deal with customers at the breakfast time.

Best hotel beds I've ever slept on. Rooms a very high standard, very clean and comfortable. Staff were amazing, very professional and polite, nothing was too much trouble and all very welcoming and very friendly. Very highly recommended to anyone. Thanks all.

The hotel couldn't be better placed being right in the middle of town. Check in was smooth and staff on front desk very helpful. The beds were comfy and the rooms what you come to expect from premier inn. There is a shop 2 mins walk away and 3 pubs as well as a restaurant on site.

This Premier Inn has some of the best staff of all the Premier Inns I have stayed at. It is a good central location near some fab micro breweries, botabky the Tin Oyle! I am a visually impaired traveller, so sometimes beed a but if extra support from staff, which is always provided by the fantastic team. I have to give an extra special mention to James, who went over and above to make sure my stay was a positive experience. He was very professional and personable, a real asset to Premier Inn. My room was comfortable and clean with everything i needed, the free Wi-Fi was fine and allowed me to attend a meeting with no buffering or problems at all. Breakfast was served hot and was served without having to wait long. There was a good selection of food, both hot and cold to choose from. A big thank you to James on reception and the wider ream, keep up the good work ????????

Great value hotel with easy access from major route. Reception staff friendly & helpful, close to main town and local pubs & restaurants. Car park is a multi storey parking area but good value for 24 hours and a lift to the hotel. Secure hotel as access to corridors requires key card
