A Team of 13 riders & support stayed here for the weekend 24-26 Nov 2023 to participate in the Old Mutual Wealth Double Century Cycle race Azaria is in the main road of Swellendam , about 2 mins from the N2 from Cape Town side . The Team stayed here last year as well The property is very neat with rooms to accommodate couples or those who want to share a twin room. The rooms are spacious , has a couch , a counter , DSTV , a fan & Wi Fi that works during loadshedding There is sufficient off road secure parking for quite a few cars or mini vans like we used. The gate is remote controlled . The garden is nicely maintained & there is a lovely big pool & braai area with a big table for about 10 or more people. Swimming towels are provided The main town is about 1min by car & probably about a 10min walk with many restaurants along the way . There is a big supermarket for all your needs. Next door to Azaria there is also a Cafe/Shop for cooldrinks/pies etc I have left the best for last & that is the staff of Azaria & particularly Carla , the Owner/Manageress who was most helpful. The cyclists wanted breakfast at 4am & 5am on Saturday , the day of the race (there were 2 Teams staying at Azaria) and although breakfast is usually served from 8am , Carla herself made the breakfasts as requested and on Sunday the 1 Team was leaving early for a flight & Carla again made a full breakfast at 5am . Real 5 star service and a big wonderful spread If you need a place to stay in Swellendam , Azaria is your place and Carla will definitely look after you . Till next year's race

The best stopover cozy place in Swellendam situated in a convenient area in the main road easy access to everything they even dried our laundry for free it was a very wet cold rainy day. Thank you so much. Would recommend it to everyone ??.

The hospitality is excellent and heartwarming! The various breakfasts I had were very tasty and a good start of each day. Value for your money. Last minute changes of my reservation were no problem at all.

We had a 1 night stop over here, which was very good. Our host Carla(hope that’s right) was so friendly & informative, with restaurant recommendations etc. she brought us towels for the pool if needed. Milk in the fridge for a cuppa. Lovely rooms with nice toiletries for us to use, & battery lights for when the load shedding was on. Nice Brekkie too

A well hidden gem and the pictures doesn't do the place justice, we loved the pool and using the braai, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms is very modern and spacious and we had an awesome stay and will definitely visit again.

Carla is an amazing host, it was a great welcome. Everything is new and beautifull. We had an excellent egg omelett for breakfast. there is also a great selection cereals, toast etc. The location is 5 min from downtown.

We spent 3 nights at Azaria guesthouse. The rooms are spacious, clean and stylish. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating to our specific needs. Carla especially were always ready to answer my messages and to see that our stay was as comfortable as possible.
