Pension Waldblick is a nice hotel with a small swimming pool and plug sockets for charging electric vehicles. There's also E-Bikes for rent 20 € per day, 5 € per hour. Vicinity is mainly forests, and simetimes in the mornings or evenings from the window or balcony of your room you can see deers eating grass. There's also fallow deers behind a fence close to the pool. Pension Waldblick might be fully booked in July and August which is the best time of the year, but in winter you might enjoy alpine skiing at Arber mountain, cross country skiing or watch biathlon. At the beginning of August we enjoyed blueberries in nearby forests close to marvellous Arber lake, but be aware that with tat lake there's only one restaurant which is crazy enough to close at 4 pm (and opens at 4 am). There's also no boats for rent at Arber lake after 4 pm which is really silly, too. - So, keep in mind that you might be too late for coffee, cake and rowing, but anyhow you can have a nice walk for 2 km around that lake. There's no swimming at all in Arber lake. South of Pension Waldblick in the nearby village Regen end of July 'Pichelsteinerfest' starts for 6 days and nights: typical Bavarian fun fair with huge halls where is music, dance, local food and local drink, which is special beer in 1 liter glasses. Here you can watch locals in their dresses which include leather shorts for men ... Hopefully next year we'll repeat our nice stay!
