    • Guest user：I would like to preface this review by saying that from the moment we arrived at Faro Airport to the moment we left everybody was no nice, welcoming, helpful and friendly and this Guest House was no exception. The Guest House is situated in a tiny street not too far from the main centre. Parking is extremely difficult, but we wanted to leave our luggage there so that we could take the car back to the airport as we were only staying one night here. When we returned from the airport, we found that our luggage had kindly been brought to our room which was indeed very helpful. The room was a large room with a balcony overlooking the pool and deck area below, but I was disappointed to find neither face cloths or tissues in the bathroom and to pay €2.50 for a small bottle of water from the mini-bar is unacceptable. All other five places we stayed on the Algarve over our holiday provided 2 bottles of water every day. This place is very quirky, with many interior design ideas. However, there were too many levels for us, many steps and at 75 and 85 we found this a bit difficult. They do not serve any food here other than breakfast and maybe some nibbles with a glass of Port/wine. Breakfast was an absolute feast, it just kept coming and all very good, the dining room overlooks the small pool and deck or it could be taken out on the deck too. We found it very difficult to find a good restaurant in Faro on that Monday evening and ended up having dinner in a Pizzeria on the main square which actually was excellent. There are restaurants up at the Castelo, but I guess Monday is not the best night. For a drink on a lovely bright evening I’d recommend the Rooftop Bar at Hotel Faro….wow what a view from the terrace. We would probably not return to Faro, but IF we did and were younger, we would return to Opus One and their super-friendly staff who transferred us to the airport the next morning in plenty of time for our flight home. Thanks to all.
    • Guest user：Fantastic weekend stay. Friendly welcome including a tour of all the amenities, and there are lots including small swimming pool and sun deck, jacuzzi, sauna, lots of public rooms to sit in. Our room was lovely, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfasts were brilliant with lots of variety from ham and cheese, fresh bread, butter, marmalade and honey, various savoury pastries, Portuguese custard tarts, fresh fruit, coconut cake over the two days we were there, plus fresh orange juice and coffee. Add in Opus, the seven month old golden retriever and it was definitely my kind of place to stay.
    • Guest user：Fantastic nice hotek with very nice staff which is very helpful. The rooms are nice and unique with small terrace. The bar/breakfast area do also contain a small pool. They also offer portwine and wine tasting. Really a hidden juvel which I highly recommend.
    • Guest user：This is truly a hidden gem. The place is charming, the rooms are great, the staff welcoming and warm. The breakfast was fantastic. They made a dinner for us when we arrived late and asked where we might find some food. It was delicious. We ate dinner in town one night and then realized dinner at Opus One was SOOOO much better so ate there the rest of the time. Highly recommend!
