  • Guest：I almost didn't book this hotel based on the reviews that I read but I really wanted early access to the park so we kept the reservation. Overall, the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was standard and not extremely spacious but overall clean and exactly what we needed for a 1 night trip. I needed extra pillows right before bedtime and after calling the front desk they were delivered within minutes. We had a room at the end of the hall which had no view so next time I would get a " pool view" room so you can look out to the courtyard. While we didn't go over to the pool or splash pad it looked very nice from the balconies and was in use by many people. There was also a large building that had an indoor pool that we didn't use either. We got late night hot chocolate and coffee from the hotel restaurant but no food. Our room was ready before 4 pm and we were informed via text . The employee at the front desk recommended a few local spots for lunch and dinner which was helpful. There are a ton of chain restaurants on the same road should you not want to try a local spot. We went labor day weekend and the park on a Sunday was extremely crowded and lines moved slowly which was to be expected. We were able to walk over to the park the next day at 9 am. some, not all, rides were open even though we were promised early access ( not at the fault of the hotel). It was a little frustrating but overall we got through at least 10-15 rides before the park got super busy so it was worth it in my opinion. the hotel is technically a "motel" as you enter from the outside landings but overall it was clean and close to the park and exactly what we needed for a quick trip.
  • Guest：We stayed here because it’s located next door to Dutch wonderland. We visited in November for the Christmas at Dutch wonderland attractions. What a disappointment. Hotel is mediocre at best. I guess the draw here is the name and the appeal to kids. Our hotel room was spacious but wasn’t extremely clean. Bathroom needed a thorough cleaning. Our room did have a table and desk area but no chairs. Extremely inconvenient especially since we had two kids that had nowhere to sit and eat other than on the beds or on the un-vacuumed floors (yuck) . When we asked the front desk for chairs we were curtly told that most of the rooms did not have chairs. My husband’s response to that was “I guess we should be grateful we have beds”. We visited the indoor pool which was a mistake. I would think it’s common sense that a hotel that is geared towards kids would have a larger indoor pool. WRONG! The pool was wall to wall kids. The number of kids in the pool and the dimly light pool area made it difficult to keep track of my kids. There was a lifeguard present and he seemed to be doing a good job but I’m sure it was challenging for him. We did not eat at the hotel because it was also extremely crowded. Arcade was small. My understanding is that Dutch wonderland has purchased the hotel and Cartoon Network hotel will be no more after the beginning of 2026 - thank goodness for future visitors.
