Our stay was quick and good for what we needed as just passing through. Staff were very helpful with late check in and organising breakfast orders for following morning. However room did appear a little dusty, light fitting above one of kids beds was also hanging out of wall and unfortunately our breakfast was cold by the time it arrived,
The room was dirty. Used plastic gloves in the bedside table. Bathroom - dust overall. Bedlinen made all out black clothes very dusty. Not really nice for overnight with small kids.
There was a sewer odour in room. It was obvious but they were more interested in money than guest service as receptionist walked in with me and could not get out fast enough.
The reason why receptionist walked in with me was room door was open which she could see, so she walked me to room to make sure it was clean. Room door and window at other end of room was open to air room out. Very poor service.
We stay here most times we travel through Mackay. It is convenient, clean and has the added benefit of an onsite restaurant.
